Turn of Events

I was close to abandoning this series a few times. This #6 was a refreshing and sweet turn of events. I may finish it after all.

i cant... i cant. ive never loved a pairing more in my life like i was so mad when poppy did what she did but like also got butterflies cause they only argue when they want to protect each other. jesus christ i wish there was more to scarf down.

girlie said “i release you from your vow.” and i die.

Well, it was clear from the start that this would happen but it was well executed. Hopefully, the second arc isn't too long to come otherwise I'll be the one drifting away because of all the theories I have about the other characters' motives. Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure Nnende didn't tell Pyp all the truth. Cyrenic's last vision while drifting proves that it was at least a part of the truth, but her reaction was way too shocked for a mere "there's a pile of bones, but I don't know if it's good or bad news". She knows something bad is coming, or at the very least something important. And she thought it better not to inform Pyp, which means she either has some scheming of her own going on, or she thought it was the best way to protect her from her destiny. Whatever it is, I think Pyppenia should be as wary of her as she is of everyone else. They're all players in this world's tense politics.

In any case, this was an excellent first arc, and I can't wait for the second one.
