Again I was interested enough in how they were going to explain this situation to keep reading but didn't fully buy in to the premise.

i needed a fast-paced page turner like this to get me out of my reading slump !!! i actually really enjoyed reading this — the author is really good at building tension w/ short clipped sentences, and the whole deep dive into motherhood was really interesting to me. some parts felt a bit too abstract for my liking, and the overall plot did feel a bit like everything just perfectly worked out — but i overall enjoyed reading it. VERY MUCH eeaao-esque

I didn’t always love the scientific explanations behind the main characters shifting realities, but the descriptions of new motherhood were spot on—the sensory overload, the fear and love and resistance and enmeshment, the struggle to just get out the door.

This book is too confusing. First she is in one place, then another. She’s talking to someone and then someone else is there. They reported the kid missing and now the cop has no idea. Books about time loops or parallel universes can be done, but it has to be explained well. This book is not. It’s like being in the mind of someone who is delirious. You have no idea what is real and what is not. And honestly a whole book with basically two characters and nothing happening but the ramblings of a mother with little sleep is so boring.
