A dark tale of mystery, forbidden love, treachery, sacrifice, betrayal, and sea water fantasy. A wonderfully written story. Captivating and entrancing, you will not be disappointed with this read. I enjoyed the story yes, but also the perspective in which it was written. Hoping to hear more of this world and what is next for Aeliana and Dectective Marx.

Most sea folk novels are predictable on every level, but not this one. Just when I was certain I knew what was going to happen next, well, it didn't! It was a complete surprise to me, which naturally, kept me intrigued!
