This was so beautifully written. It was hard to read at points as the author does not shy away from showing homophobia and transphobia). But getting to see Raimundo fall in love for the first time, learn to rely only on himself, own up to his mistakes and learn to rely on others, and learn how not to be scared anymore was just so well done.

My only *real* complaint is that the POVs can get confusing. I first thought this was a product of the audiobook, but reading some other reviews… it seems like audio may have actually still been the way to go. I also personally didn’t enjoy the ending, but I can understand it. I actually relistened to it because I thought I HAD to have missed something, but no 😭
