Jewel Killian outdid herself with this one! I mean seriously, I needed a cold shower before any of the characters had even touched one another. How is that possible?!
Willa, the FMC, is the perfect mix of strong, independent woman but also submissive and trusting. You spend the journey of the book rooting for her to finally just get a win from life and it is always just so close you can taste it.
I thought at some points I could *maybe* foretell what the cliffhanger would be but NOPE. I never saw it coming, not even close.
Cannot wait for the second book! ❤️

This book started out really well. It has a great premise. It had such potential. However, the second half of the book became really choppy and felt rushed. I felt like I was missing things that I should have known too.

Personally, this wasn’t my favorite read. I felt some information had been left out, or I had just missed information somewhere. And I might kind of feel that way because I have decided not to read the two books.
However, I thought that the characters were cute. I enjoyed Willa, Rafe, and Jonah. They were cute together. The way that Rafe and Jonah worked it out between them to make sure that Willa was taken care of...aghh so adorable.
I would definitely read another book by this author; I just don’t see myself finishing this series. I loved her writing. It was detailed, and the characters were amazing. I just didn’t vibe with the plot.

Ok, this was exactly what I needed. An omegaverse with a wolf, omega, healer who can't mate because it will literally mean death and destruction. Her mate is her Alpha, the boy she grew up with her entire life, and she has to suppress her "heats" with herbal remedies. If that wasn't enough, a new wolf strolls into town literally smelling like sin and wanting a taste of our omega Willa. Jonah's his name and he's got big daddy alpha vibes but is a sigma. Rafe, her mate is non too pleased. Not satisfying one mate was bad, but two is hellish. Our boy Jonah has some magical moves up his sleeve, or beneath his fur, whatever but our girl gets what she needs without killing anyone, but it does get icey, and I do mean FROZEN! Willa's omega, healer, wolf magic is the least of the pack's worries as we see when all the Alphas come together for a "meeting of the minds" regarding a rouge alpha. Something bad is coming, but poor Willa's problems are piling up like the snow outside her door.

This book is pretty fast-paced, and the plot is interesting. I find the characters loveable, although given how short this book is, there's not much time to have them be fully fleshed out. I'm hoping that'll be improved on the next book. It's a fast-burn romance with medium-heat level. There were also very few errors, but nothing too distracting. Overall, I liked it and I'm excited to read book 2!
If you're into:
If you're into:
- Omegas, alphas, betas, deltas, sigmas, megazords (and the whole shebang).
- Knots, heat, nest
- A healer omega wolf shifter FMC
- A sassy, protective twin sister
- Dirty talk and spice
Then this is highly recommended for you!
Jewel Killian put her unique twist on omegaverse romance and it does not disappoint. It is filled with unique elements and things that will keep you guessing. The pack dynamic especially the healer role is interesting. There is so much unfolding and I am anxious to read what happens after that ending.
What a great start to a new series! This is one of those books that I could not put down I was captivated from the beginning! Willa, Rafael and Jonah man are they freaking hot. While there may not have been too many spicy scenes the ones that we did get where LIFE and the sexual tension and build up between Willa and her guys is everything. Both of these guys are super protective of Willa. Willa is the healer of her pack and this has caused so many issues for her but she doesn’t outwardly show it but you can feel how much it affects not on her but Rafael as well. I am really looking forward to the growing dynamics and to see where the author takes us especially with that cliffy that left me gasping for air.
