I can see why this gets a lot of attention but I am abandoning this for a few reasons:

1) I am already familiar with the issue of child marriage and after starting this book I think I would rather read non-fiction on this topic. (If you're interested too, a good book to start on international women's health and social issues is Melinda Gates' excellent book [b:The Moment of Lift: How Empowering Women Changes the World|40776644|The Moment of Lift How Empowering Women Changes the World|Melinda French Gates|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1540299907l/40776644._SY75_.jpg|63472837].

2) The dialect writing is unrelenting and not really enjoyable. The actual writing is not bad though, and I have read some books that have this quirk where it mostly works but it's not my favorite.

3) Too many books too little time. I have a good feel for this book now and feel like I can recommend it if needed.
