She had to go, but Makima is one of my favorite villains ever. I like how they explained why she was the way she was without excusing it.

So good! I’m excited to read part 2!

Marking this volume as a stand-in for my rating for the entire arc. The series plays with the limits human beings can stand and the fallout that comes once they're broken; lots of heart but does feel a little rushed at times which is partially due to the medium.
