This is my review of the whole series: overall, a really fun sci fi fantasy YA series. It’s a classic for a reason. The characters can crack a lot of jokes to ease the tension (cough cough Thorne) and cinder is so tangibly awkward half of the time. But I’ve come to love all of the characters, especially Kai’s sass and Torin’s eternal fatigue, and I’m excited to read stars above.

I am almost completely satisfied with this book. I really wanted Kai and Cinder to get married at the end, but like I can deal with them just being together. Okay so hear are my favorite couples in order of how much I love them:
KAI AND CINDER: I love them so so so so so so much. They are so cute and just like Cinder counting how many times they've kissed, and just like them like cozying up to each other and stuff was just great. My favorite was every time Kai got himself in trouble, he'd wish for Cinder to come and save him.
Okay, just imagine the last three couples have a tie for second place because I really can't decide my favorites after them
Scarlet and Wolf: Omg they're so darn cuteeee! Even when Wolf had all of that stuff done to him, Scarlet was still like I love you. That whole alpha thing was adorable too. Omg Thorne like reacting to their relationship gave me life. That was fantastic.
Thorne and Cress: Rapunzel is one of my top like 3 favorite princesses so this was quite exciting for me. Thorne was great. I love Thorne so much. So fricking much. I was so happy when he finally realized he was in love with Cress because all of that I don't wanna hurt you, and we're just friends crap was starting to piss me off. Obviously, they were meant for each other. My favorite scene of there's was when Thorne admits that when he made out with the Lunar and professed his love for her, the Lunar had glamoured herself to look like Cress. I was crying like omggg you two are too adorable.
Winter and Jacin: Ugh, I feel like their relationship is like a dream. I love that whole we've known each other since we were younger, and like we've been in love and stuff. That was great. I love how much Jacin just cared for Winter. Like that was great. No matter how nuts Winter became, Jacin still loved her. He like even switched to Cinder's side to protect her. At first I thought he was just some grumpy guard and I really didn't trust him, and then I got to learn about him through Winter's eyes and I just love them.
Overall the character relationships were just like GOALSSS and I was really happy with them.

Such an epic conclusion to The Lunar Chronicles. Beautifully orchestrated and equally heart-wrenching and joyous.

Of the formative fantasy series I read as a teenager, this book, as a wrap up for a series, will always be my favorite. The interwoven narratives from all of the character's perspectives, the way in which all of the relationships ended in such a satisfying way that made me happy. The suspense threaded throughout that keeps the reader anticipating the next part of the story made me excited to finish the story when I originally read it, and continued to do so when I reread it. I will love these characters for forever.

Jacin was the one person who could make her feel beautiful without it seeming like a bad thing
