Oops. It may have taken me 2 months to read this book. But that's what I get for trying to read an 800+ page book during a very busy semester.
I am still glad that I read this book. This series is a lot of fun. It is silly and fantastical. Meyer writes a great action story. I do like how each of the characters has a unique voice, and it is easy to tell them apart. I had a good time reading this novel and the ones before it.
However, I do think I would have liked it more if I had remembered things from the previous novels. I did not feel as attached to the characters as I would have liked. For this reason, I will probably not read the novellas. I know there is an epilogue to the series in Stars Above but I know what happens and am not really interested in reading all about it.
I did have a couple of other issues with the novel. A lot of plot points, especially towards the end, felt very convenient and easy. Secondly, the writing was a little strange at some points. Some of the dialogue felt unnecessary, cheesy, or awkward. I think the book could have been cut by a couple hundred pages if the unnecessary dialogue was cut out. The characters were also completely idiotic with Levana. They knew that she lied and manipulated people all the time and yet they believed her.
These books are fun, and I recommend that people read them for a fun action story.

best no thoughts easy read. good end to the series, though it could’ve been 100ish pages shorter. very young adult.

The ending makes me want more adventures from the Rampion crew and see a better outcome for Winter! I cannot wait for the four-part series to come out! The Lunar Chronicles is definitely a MUST OWN for me!! I could read it again and again! @marissameyerauthor hasn't disappointed me yet!! My ratings for action and romance are 👊👊👊👊/💖💖💖

i keep saying family over and over again but i’ve never been more serious when i say that i am blood related to all of the rampion crew and i grew up with them and died with them. the ending had me tearing up i won’t even lie rn my children are happy and DING DONG the witch is dead! thank you marissa for answering my prayers!
this book is like really fucking long obviously but it didn’t drag on too long to me cause the stakes were so high and there were more characters to follow. that being said i wished there were more scarlet, wolf, and thorne povs cause they kinda get the short end of the stick in terms of development. i honestly wouldn’t have minded if it was longer to see more of them. i also didn’t love the fade to black after the fight with levana but i understand that she needed to wrap it up quickly since it’s 300 pages longer than all of the other books.
all in all such a fun series loved the plot and the characters of course. the dynamics are so well done and i was so engaged with the story. will be picking up stars above soon so i can see my children living happily ever after amen
