Such a riveting story about the hardships and fear surrounding an undocumented immigrant family. I loved so many elements of this memoir, but what particularly resonated were the shared interests between the author and me… mainly in her obsession with Baby-Sitters Club and Sweet Valley books :) Highly recommend - it really is eye-opening, and I hope it makes readers more aware of the plight of these communities, how we can make America more welcoming and livable and how we can put ourselves in others’ shoes, even if just for a few moments.

I'm so amazing and impressed by this memoir. It's wonderful. The writing is incredible, easy to read, entertaining while deep. The author writes from the perspective of her childhood self and it's incredible how easy it is to feel for her and get sucked into ur own child self. I was shocked how relatable it felt even tho we had completely different childhoods. Loved loved loved, would reread!
