I liked this one, and I thought the many varied stories were interesting. I liked the injustice that was felt for
the stealing of someone's story. That would be so devastating.
The main character stressed me the heck out, but I think she was written pretty well. Love family drama.

The many points of view made this book interesting, although I found the plot itself to be very simple/straightforward at the end of the day. I also weirdly didn’t really care about solving the murder or who did it, possibly because the victim wasn’t compelling or painted in a very kind light. I feel like a horrible person! Going to self-evaluate now.

This book is a wonderful and suspenseful mystery novel by the famous author who stunned the world with The Girl on The Train. Equally well written and revealing of the grit of the human condition, this novel deviates from its predecessor by weaving a larger web of perspectives from the various characters in such a way that it immerses the reader further into the narration. What impressed me the most however was the way that Hawkins explores the question of morality and how it relates to the taboo of murder as she tells the stories that surrounding our particular mystery. Emotionally charged with winding plots and characters, this work is my favorite yet by this author.

4 stars may be generous, but I was  pleasantly surprised with how much I liked this book. I’ve never actually heard of Paula Hawkins and I really only put this on cause it was on my shelf for some reason and I’d just finished a book I loved so much that I needed something easier I didn’t care about so much as a break. I wouldn’t say I’m an avid reader of crime drama and I’m not one to be dissuaded  by predictability. But the cast of characters and themes throughout this book I found compelling. I particularly enjoyed the commentary on storytelling and the crime/mystery genre.
