Listened to Zoe's interview on the SPA Girls Podcast and grabbed a copy of her book. She gave so much good food for thought in this book. I was pleased with some of what I was already doing (learned the hard way) and am excited to try some of the new tips!

I think this is a very good book for just starting out writers. There is enough information but it is not overwhelming. There are practical exercises and "homework" for the reader to do so you can practice the concepts. Lot's of advice for what she feels she did wrong starting out writing series romance and what to think about to avoid similar missteps. There is a good list of books at the end to do more reading on more focused topics. On the author website there are example sheets to use for the homework and more resources. I personally got a lot out of the book but I think it would depend on where you are in writing: starting out or more advanced if you would like the book or not.
I wish there had been more on character building and world building. But will be reading the sources she used for a more in depth read on the topics. But the book did give good advice for the beginning stages of thinking of a series and setting up your concept. An already published writer might not like the book as many of the concepts they may know already or have their own way they developed to write series arcs.
