I was excited for this one because a) I want to read more books set in university and b) I haven't read many books with a bisexual main character.

I feel like this book had a lot of potential — there were plenty of introspective moments that made valid and strong arguments, but they weren't super innovative.

My biggest issue with this novel, however, was the voice. I'm pretty sure Elliot was one of those main characters that are supposed to be borderline annoying and grow on you (and she sure did accomplish that). But what I couldn't escape was her immaturity. She's supposed to be in her first year in college but she talks like a middle schooler. It's quite confusing because the book talks about sex A LOT but in such an immature way. It literally reminds me about how people talked about sex when we first learned about it in middle school! (And don't get me started on "tender chicken.") I don't know ANYONE in college that is immature as her (coming from someone currently in college). It made me cringe.

I enjoyed the plot, but I couldn't get past Elliot. This book could've been so much better, but Margot Wood's humor is clearly out of touch with this generation of teenagers/young adults.

I don’t think I can put into words how much I loved this book!!! From the very first line to the last page it was captivating and honestly just perfect. Elliot was a perfect narrator (even though she did make many mistakes) and I would die for Rose. Basically what I’m trying to say is READ THIS BOOK!!!!
