Spookathon 2019

This was a really strange story that had a disappointing ending. I liked the beginning, it was quite interesting, but then the story started to fall, rapidly.

Well it made me feel physically sick so there's that going for it I guess... have to appreciate how horrifically talented Junji Ito is though.

2.5 rounded up to 3 stars because Junji Ito’s art is always incredible.

This was…..not my favorite Junji Ito. I think the premise of military tech fusing with organic matter and becoming its own organism is interesting, but it wasn’t executed well. The writing felt a bit silly, kinda reminiscent of the Sharknado franchise. There really was no suspense, no tension. Ito has many great series, but this was unfortunately not one of them.
