So i actually listened to the dramatization of the book and not actually reading the book itself so it went a lot faster paced when all of the non-dialogue was cut.
I've been consuming so much content from around this era from the newer canon instead of Legends, so i really enjoyed the look at it from a different perspective, and also what was built as a bridge between video games to flesh things out. Kyle does sort of feel like the 90s style hero you'd expect to find in a sci-fi video game, but i do appreciate that he didn't lean too much into his inner torment and decided instead to face it head on and with a degree of practicality.
The dramatization of it was also a fun listen, and the actors brought out a better deal of depth to the characters than i might have gotten from just reading it.
