The galaxy is a dumpster fire? This book is even more of a dumpster fire.
1 star for it having words and technically being a book.
RC Bray seems to only narrate this pseudo-military drivel. Lesson learned.

I was NOT expecting this book to be as good as it was. I picked it up for cheap and expected it to be one of the million run-of-the-mill amateur military SF novels. What I got was two ex-military professionals turned novelists channeling David Drake -- pure excellence. What really set this 5-star review in stone was the fact that this first novel is a full novel in and of itself -- there's nothing more to buy. The authors are not trying to capitalize on a multi-part novel that forces you to purchase 3 books to get the full story. Gritty, bloodsoaked, intelligent. I will be picking up further novels in this series.

One of the better sci-fi military novels. The "Point" Captain may have been a little over-cooked, but the rest was on the money.

It had a few great moments, but overall it was a three star for me.

Picked this series up on cyber Monday on impulse. The cover art caught my attention and the price was right but I didn't really expect all that much. Man was I surprised! This is by far one of the most entertaining books I have read in a long time. I sat down and read it cover to cover, I just had to know how things played out. I can not wait to start the next book! Do yourself a favor and give this a read, you will not regret it.
