Perfect

I very much enjoyed [b:Flawed|23438288|Flawed (Flawed, #1)|Cecelia Ahern|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1433842801s/23438288.jpg|43002885] and couldn't wait to get my hands on the sequel. I really liked the concept of the book and hadn't read a dystopian in awhile. However, I was left a little disappointed.
I wish that in Flawed, the relationship between Art and Celestine was a little deeper. For how much she talked about loving Art, she sure threw him away rather quickly when she saw Carrick. (Which I understand considering Art's dad is literally the spawn of the devil.) In the second book, I kept waiting for a deeper understanding of their relationship and a little more background information. I just wanted more, considering Art's dad is one of the main characters of the book.
I feel like every "barrier" that Celestine encountered was easily fixed and everything just wrapped up in to a nice, neat, happy little ending. The world building was lackluster and the book just skimmed the surface of most details.
All in all I did enjoy this duology and am happy I read it.
Rated 3.5 and rounded up to a 4.

It had been a while since I'd read Flawed, so I had to mentally do a lot of catching up at the beginning. Once I did, I fell right into the story, and finished in almost no time. It's an enjoyable read, and seeing Celestine piece everything together and get answers and solutions was great. Sometimes I just want a book with a happy ending, and this one has it.

Great ending to this duology! I was so invested on how it would all play out with the characters and I got a well bit mad at the protagonist at one point in time but I’m contented with how it ended.

Der erste Teil war so viel besser. Irgendwie hat sich die Handlung hier sehr gezogen und es kam für mich nicht wirklich Spannung auf.. Der Schluss war wieder gut aber alles in allem hat es mich nicht wirklich begeistert. Schade

I am a HUGE fan of Cecelia's books, and have been since the day I read Where Rainbows End many years ago. Since then, her writing style has remained one of my all time favourites. I've always thought she fitted the Adult fiction world so flawlessly, but after reading Flawed last year, I knew she was a total contender to be a hit author in the YA league as well. I was so over the moon to be invited to be part of the Perfect tour that I actually did a small happy dance.
Where we left off in Flawed, Celestine had a perfect life. She never put a foot out of place and was so well loved by everyone. So when she makes an impulsive decision when she encounters something she can't ignore, the remnants of her life turn upside down. She could now be found flawed and imprisoned. Now in Perfect, Celestine knows that the society she lives in, the one that requires absolute perfection, has turned her back on her after she was found flawed by the court. Everything in her life she knew like the back of her hand has been totally shattered. With a target on her back after being deemed a threat to their society, Celestine has gone on the run with the only person she can trust, Carrick, but that's just the beginning of what's going to happen to her life. Her secrets could bring an end to the entire Flawed reality, and faced with the options of rescuing herself or the entire Flawed, she knows that there's a thin line between being Flawed and just human.
Perfect delivers an incredible follow up to Flawed. Not only does Cecelia's writing soar beautifully, but my expectations were exceeded and blown away. Celestine is a fresh, brave and intricately foolproof character. I love how not only did the story take some turns that surprised me (emotionally and powerfully), but the love triangle was effortlessly done. The romance in YA literature, especially utopian and dystopian, can sometimes be cliche and come undone, but Cecelia knows her way around a gorgeous romance highlight to a story and she wrote it brilliantly.
Overall, Perfect was the perfect (pun intended) end to this duology. I thoroughly found it engrossing and a unique turn on the dystopian genre. Celestine was such a memorable character and until I picked Perfect up after reading Flawed last year, I forgot just how much I loved reading about her. Cecelia never fails to impress! 5 stars.

Oh. My. Gosh.
This book was so epic. This book is full of girl power and showing that shaming people for the mistakes they may have made is inhumane. Compassion and logic, there is no truer statement than that.
I do have to say she did a lot of review of the first book in this read, almost like Ms. Ahern expected the readers not to have read the first book. Some people don't and that's fine, but I don't like doing that.
Also it got a little too romantic in my opinion, but she doesn't show that part in the scene till later on, so I was able to skip all the bad stuff for the most part. I would have rated it a five except that scene and all the constant review makes it a four.
All in all it was a very good book. It was well written and had pretty good pacing.

This is a nice conclusion to the young adult dystopian series. There is more drama, action and revolution as Celestine fights for the rights of the flawed against the Guild.

Celestine North is Flawed.

Ever since Judge Crevan declared her the number one threat to the public, she has been a ghost, on the run with Carrick, the only person she can trust.

But Celestine has a secret—one that could bring the entire Flawed system crumbling to the ground. A secret that has already caused countless people to go missing.

Judge Crevan is gaining the upper hand, and time is running out for Celestine. With tensions building, Celestine must make a choice: save just herself or risk her life to save all Flawed people.

An excellent follow-up and conclusion to Flawed.

The irony of justice is that the feelings that precede it and those which fruit from it are never fair and balanced. Not even justice itself is perfect.

4 solid stars

I enjoyed "Perfect" nearly as much as "Flawed" before, it was a really good conclusion and answered pretty much all of my questions.
The story picks up exactly where it left us before, so I had no difficulties getting back into the story.
I still liked Celestine and loved that she really evolved as a character until she finally became one of the leaders of the Flawed Revolution. The supporting characters such as Carrick, Celestine's granddad, her mother und sister and the other Flawed were also very thought-out, interesting and enjoyable.
There were some points that I didn't enjoy as much - sometimes the pacing of the story was a bit slow for my liking, but then there were times when it was too fast (especially towards the end). Hence "only" four stars.

All in all this dystopian duology was a really enjoyable and interesting read and I definitely can recommend both books!

I loved the first book and this one was just as gripping in the beginning. It did start to slow a little about 3/4 of the way through, but I enjoyed the ending and I liked how not everything gets resolved. Worth the read!
