Carrick banging on about Celestine being ‘powerful’ all the damn time gives me the ick sorry.
But this instalment is definitely more fleshed out and fun! Celestine is annoying at times but still likeable (so typical YA protagonist lol).

Tykkäsin tästä melkein yhtä paljon kuin ensimmäisestä. Kiva myös, ettei tätä oltu venytetty trilogiaksi. Ajatuksia herättävä tarina, samaistuttava päähahmo, harmaita päätöksiä: tässä kirjassa on melkein kaikkea mistä pidän. Tykkäsin varsinkin siitä, miten päähenklönä Celestine joutuu tosissaan punnitsemaan päätöksiään ja kantamaan niiden seuraukset. Hahmot ovat hyvin tavallisia YA-hahmoja, joten siinä missä Celestine saa kasvaa tarinan aikana, niin muut hahmot jäävät yksiulotteisiksi. Tässä osassa oli myös politiikkaa ja välillä meno äityi aika levottomaksi kun tyypit pettävät toinen toisiaan.

Mielestäni kohtaus, jossa Celestine tekee itselleen polttimerkin oli turha ja ylidramaattinen.

Lopetus oli kuitenkin tosi tyydyttävä, vaikkeikaan siinä mielessä mitä luulisi.
