What an adventure that was!

The Usurper has torn a hole in the barrier dividing the mortal realm and the Between and things are getting out including the Usurper. Nea put the Usurper in Leon's body thinking a keen-less one would be safer than one with magic but Leon is mean and without morals.

So the rush is on to find The Thrones of Eternity, if Nea and Garret find them they will bring back the Shadow Man and Mother Bright, if the Usurper wins he will find a way to claim the thrones for himself and tear down the barrier and let the worlds collide.

The characters are interesting and have fun banter even in tight situations, the magic is unique and the plot has many twisty turns. I'm surprised there are not more reviews on this series, it's not one to be missed.

A little underwhelming. But still enjoyable. I wish the ending had been more “biting my nails to see what happens next” type deal, but I found it a bit slow and anticlimactic. It was sweet though, and still a good ending. Plenty of room left to follow other characters mentioned in this series. I would have liked to see more interactions with Henry and Nea, and I wanted a bit more info on Harvey, but overall, I liked this series. The magic and the world was truly unique.
