Jack thinks he's superman now...and he's still annoying.

D is adorable.

This is my favorite of the mini side stories from [b:Zero at the Bone|6382879|Zero at the Bone (Zero at the Bone, #1)|Jane Seville|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1239008011s/6382879.jpg|6570901].

These have all been very adorable so far! Kind of wishing I'd read them a little closer to having finished Zero at the Bone.

Nice short story but I am definitely ready for a full length sequel! :-)

“D, wait a second.”
“Huh?”

“I love you, too.”
He heard D sigh. It sounded sad. “G’night, baby.” The line went dead.

Not trouble in paradise. 🥺

Just as short and sweet and sad. Hard to fault it.

Again, this is too damn short.
But i loved that pop-culture reference. I can imagine D singing it and Jack laughing at him but loving him so damn much about it.
Also, can we take a moment to talk about Jack beating that thug? My man!

Following right on from Time, a poignant and funny look at how each of them deal with the separations and how Jack goes a little bit off the rails - but he still didn't tell D!
