Perfectly lighthearted hallmark romance. Honestly didn’t think I was going to enjoy the story from the start but it really came around.

Read this if you want a sweet romance about choosing to believe in yourself after life deals you a series of bad times. I like how the love part only surfaces when the main character has proven he can stand on his own two feet. Another thing I like about this book is the setting—small town Kentucky, a part of the world I’ve never visited and Zentner is able to make it sound magical. The parts about the dog are also quite charming. Note: Readers do not have to worry about something happening to the dog.
