Well written, but not my bag.

There’s no plot tension. At all.

The heroine is snippy and justifies behaviour as bad as that of her nemesis - including laughing at Lily with a room of people. She came across as spiteful to me. The reactions to Lily’s awful behaviour were anachronistic.

That Annabelle was crying during some encounters with the hero because of pain was too much. Decidedly unsexy.

I enjoyed some of the secondary characters and the very beginning of the book but was disappointed with the rest.
