I LOVED this book! A really good story about karmic justice, social awareness, open mindedness, and the complexities we as humans have when it comes to what we think is right or wrong. Prudence and Quint were so adorable and seeing their growth was amazing!

I loved this book! As much as I hate the miscommunication trope, this book handled it fairly well. And I mean how can I not love Quint!

This book started a little slowly for me, but I really liked the way it developed. The Beatles motif is cleverly woven through, and readers of a certain age will appreciate the references.

This was so fun! Contemporary romances always make me wish it was summer.
Pros:
*UNLIKABLE PROTAG! Pru is so mean at the beginning. She's arrogant, unfriendly, uptight, judgmental, etc. and I love her for it.
**I love how she grows. She reminds me a lot of myself actually, especially back in high school. I always paired my flaws with a cheery, friendly attitude. But the perfectionist, overachiever mindset? Highly relatable. Exasperation with stupid classmates? More than I really care to admit. I also relate to her stubbornness, and needing to be pushed to get out and have fun.
*Interesting side characters! I want two more books in this world, one following Jude, because the boy deserves to be happy, and one about Ari&Ezra because there is definitely potential there. Marissa please, I need this now.
*Quint was adorable
*Awwwwww, hate to love. It's quickly becoming my favorite romance architype
Cons:
*Idk how I feel about the pop culture references. I prefer my books to be a little more, idk, timeless I guess? The Stranger Things reference took me out because time stopped for me in like 2016 I guess.
*The actual cosmic karma gift could have been explored more
*Morgan was awful, mostly.

Your cute, typical, average YA romance. I really wasn't buying the whole teenagers catch a crook thing at the end of the book. Like seriously? One google search is all it took to find out that she had embezzled money in the past? No one... and I mean... NO ONE had ever suspected why there never was enough money? I'd say that the accountant would be the first person one would suspect if the organization has always had money problems. So no, I found that very hard to believe. That said, the rest of the story was really not something to get excited about. The buildup to Quint and Prudence's romance was kind of cute but somehow their science project and the non profit organization took the center stage and their romance was a secondary thing almost.
