I may be extremely biased being a St. Augustine native but this book was AWESOME!!! Elizabeth Raven has a knack for taking the best parts of St. Augustine and putting it into her work! You can feel the culture, mysticism, and history oozing from her story and writing style and I just could not get enough!!

Bridget was a delightfully spunky and unique character! She is so secure in who she is and in her lifestyle that even when a man comes along and puts her down it don't bother her at all which is extremely refreshing! There is no instalove but a slow burn of a romance and I SHIP it!!

The mystery was intriguing and had me second guessing myself to almost the very end!! The cliffhanger was a doozy and I need book 2 right away!!! The secondary characters were as unique and multidimensional as Bridget and really added so much to the story!

Actual Rating 4.5 STARS!!

Just as good if not better than Book 1 in the Moon Series, Matanzas Moon Ablaze still features beautiful St. Augustine and just like book one captures the historically haunted feel of the city. Elizabeth Raven has a magical way of capturing the essence of St. Augustine. . . I feel like I am there!

Bridget and Nick *swoons* needless to say I ship it!! I loved how much we are able to learn about RIP and his past in this sequel! The pacing is suspenseful and exciting and sets the perfect tone for this eventful story! This second book has a darker feel to it than the first but it works with the plot seamlessly!

While the story is great I am almost more excited about this cover!! It is a huge step up from Matanzas Moon! The characters are lively and I felt like they could be my best friends! This spooky paranormal romance is perfect for any lover of the occult! It is fantastically written and I never wanted it to end!

I am not a fan of scary but was convinced to give this book a try. It reads like a grown up paranormal Nancy Drew mystery. The secondary characters are fun and our heroine is a spunky treat. I love how the author makes St. Augustine, FL a character in the story. A good read. I look forward to the next installment.

A fantastic follow up to Matanzas Moon. This book is better than the first. In Matanzas Moon: Ablaze we find out more about RIP’s past and what makes him tick. We follow the progression in Bridget and Nick’s relationship. All while fighting off some evil from the past. As with the first book St. Augustine plays a major role. This is an intriguing paranormal mystery.
