There is so much information included in this book for kids. Neil touches on so many topics outside of just astrophysics including many social issues. But not in such a heavy-handed way that people who disagree with him will likely have much of an issue, just enough that the kids reading this will likely pause, take note, and continue on until presented with the issue again at which point they'll already have some insight.
As for the sciencey bits, I'll be recommending this to all the science-minded kidlets I know because this is just a great little book to introduce them to the concepts of astrophysics. It's that starting point that sets them off on their own educational adventures. After all, we know that you learn more readily when it's something that interests you!

I decided this would be a fun and easy one...after all, it is “for young people” and I am a 38 year old university graduate who appreciates ongoing education. Yea, no...haha it was not an easy read but it was an enjoyable challenge. Multiple parts blew my mind, others stretched me to really understand.
