I think this has been one of the better anthologies I've read. I loved reading about the older guys getting their true love. Most in the 40s, but there was even one couple in their 60s. Probably about half of them found love with a younger man, but there were a few that were the same age. It was a nice mix, with a bit of fantasy and historical mixed in to the contemporary. Very enjoyable read.

Overall, this was a pretty good anthology. A bunch of sweet stories, most about a second chance at love. The main complaint is that 40 is not ancient! Most of the stories featured men in their mid-40's, complaining about how old they are. That really stopped this from rating higher for me. I get that the whole anthology is about older men, but geez, they whined about it worse than women! There were standouts. Nachos on Saturday, No Place Like Home, and Granddad's Cup of Tea were by far the best of the bunch!

Nachos on Saturday – 4★
Full Circle – 3★
Hunting Season – 3.5★

A better than average anthology that I slowly read over a few days and read other books in between. No single story stands out but conversely there were none that I disliked. I enjoyed the ones with both older people and liked how they took their time and let friendship grow before jumping. My favourite would have been the last story which was also the longest so had longer to develop - Grandad's Cup Of Tea - a story of 2 over sixties who meet when one is helping his granddaughter deliver the papers.

Five big stars for Amy Rae Durreson, and the rest get a couple of fours, lots of threes, and a few twos.

I bought this because it has a story by Amy Rae Durreson in it. Her story, Grandad's Cup of Tea, was really wonderful and I absolutely loved it. A big five stars for that story. It's charming and warm and lovely. It was by far my favourite and was definitely worth buying the book for (and I wouldn't have bought if this author wasn't included).

I don't have very strong feelings about the other stories in this collection. Some of them were pretty nice, but many didn't really grab me. Stories worth a mention: Waiting for the Light by Layla M. Weir, The Way to a Fisherman's Heart by Tray Ellis, No Place Like Home by Kim Fielding, and Full Circle by Rhidian Brenig Jones.

this was a hard read. all the stories are wonderful, but the subject matter leads to a lot of loss and wistfulness mixed in with the romance. several stories made me tear up something fierce.

Oh my gosh, ok. I think I liked every story in this anthology! If I didn't already absolutely adore them, I would have been all, I LOVE ANTHOLOGIES, professing my love everywhere! Lol ♥

And yay, new authors to go check out. Ok... someone please recommend their favorite May/December romances to me or just plain romances with men over 40! I think this is becoming a favorite! :)

I am a big fan of atypical romances so I tried really hard to get through this but the quality of the stories varies so wildly and most of them are flat out awful that I eventually gave up and returned this to the library. disappointing.
