The speach on the witness stand as well as the journalists reaction to it felt weirdly naive and basic in contrast to the rest of the novel. Overall still a very gripping and interesting take on the justice system and sexual assault though.

Found the play to be superior in pace and prose, but glad this exists in another mass market medium before the film releases
Zunächst war ich etwas enttäuscht vom Schreibstil, da alles in sehr kurzen, meiner Meinung nach, abgehakten Sätzen geschrieben wurde. Dann aber im Laufe der Geschichte, hat dieser mich nicht mehr gestört, wahrscheinlich weil die Geschichte immer mehr Fahrt aufgenommen hat. Ich habe sehr mitgefiebert und das Ende hat mich doch was fertig gemacht, auch wenn ich schon ein bisschen damit gerechnet hab. Aber es hat mir auch Mut gemacht, dass wenn man zusammen hält, auch trotz Niederschlägen, weiter kommen kann. Ein tolles und zugleich trauriges (wütend machendes) Buch!
