I thought I was ready.
I was not.

I purchased this book when it was released alongside EotV because I expected to be so enthralled I'd want to read them back to back. Enthralled though I was, I did not expect to be so emotionally ravaged by EotV that I'd need to take a break to ready my wounded heart for EotD.
It's been, what, ten months? 
Now, here I sit, old wounds reopened and new ones besides, heart pounding though I'm certain I felt it being torn from my chest.
I was not ready.

Anyways, Book 3 comes out 11/4/2025 so mark your calendar for more pain
