I absolutely loved that book, and the found family aspect of it that is as beautiful as it is heartbreaking. It got me hooked form beginning to end, which says a lot for a 700+ pages long, heavy book. Very great pacing, with a good balance between grim-epicness, the lightness of hope and sarcasm.

I was given an advance reader copy to read and I cannot wait for the full book to be out! Full review will come once the full book is out and read, but what’s been read so far has me on the edge of my seat needing more!
First off, I don't enjoy long books unless they can hold my interest and prevent me from seeing listening to the book as a task, which it did only a few times (probably majority is a me issue). That's pretty impressive given this boisterous 32 hour listening time, (speed up to 3x the speed, of course 🫠)
I don't normally like vampire storylines but this is executed so creatively and uniquely you just have to enjoy the ride. I might actually have to get physical copies of this series just to put on my shelves.
