So at first I was worried because this book starts off going from 0 to 100.  But oh my gosh was it an absolutely lovely read.  I felt immersed in this world and was rooting for all our heroes.  The end had me kicking my feet and giggling like a crazy person.  Definitely a new favorite book đź’™

It had a strong, promising start but I stopped reading at around 50% for multiple reasons. Mostly because I’ve worked enough customer service to not need to read a book about a princess working in food service and discovering that dealing with difficult customers is like dealing with politicians/royalty.

The two things that really made me DNF this book were
1) There are so many issues with choice of tense that should have been caught in the edit process.
2) An object was given partial description and then summed up with “impossible to describe,” which is incredibly frustrating as a reader and makes me feel cheated out of needed description.

Nice cozy fantasy with a solid message about how serving other people means learning to take up space yourself. Very sweet.

Very cozy read! I think that this would be good for getting someone out of a reading slump. Additionally, the plot was interesting while not being overly complicated, which was important for me because I was reading this as a kindle book on my phone whenever I had the chance.
