I enjoyed this book -- and I've enjoyed the series so far. I loved the dynamics and relationships within the group, seeing them form and develop.

So I am going to have to give this one five stars. This book dragged me through mud and then punched me in the face. If you love the percy jackson series and you turn emotional reading sometimes I would definitely prepare to cry.

This book had me sobbing at 11pm in my bed with this stupid little book in my lap.

I do think it was written very well. There's kind of fun riddles that keep you excited. I love how we got to follow Annabeth's POV for the first time and get to know her better. It also really showed us more of Percabeth's relationship (this is nit a spoiler, for anyone that reads this series in the proper order?)

This book had funny moments and the sad ones. I do like how we see multiple people mix and get to trust each other, working together to save the world.

I did not like the spiders in this book šŸ˜. But it has beautiful quotes.

I loved it.

Rereading this was a pleasure. I always love the PJO/HoO characters and this time was no different. I donā€™t have the emotional connection others have to the Tartarus scene, but itā€™s still a pretty good moment nonetheless.

The only issue with this was I listened to the audiobook and the narrator wasnā€™t that great. Hearing the English version of the godsā€™ names was already confusing at times (as Iā€™ve learned them in French) and he pronounced Gaia ā€œGee-ahā€, which just felt plain wrong. His accents also bordered on offensive at times.

So loved the book, but the narration was subpar. Iā€™ll check if someone else narrates The House of Hades, otherwise Iā€™ll read my paper copy.
