This is not much of a sequel but just a book in different time period.
What I liked-
The writing style is so good and engaging
I was hooked from the start.
I loved the main character and his journey to find the truth
What I didnt like-
I had the same problem with shadow of wind there is so much of mystery and suspense slowly built up over like 95% of the book just to get it resolved it so quick in the last 50 pages or so.
I would have liked slow reveals and there is so much fantasy elements in this one too so I am confused is this fantasy or is that for symbolism purposes.

I gave this book 5 stars because it left so many questions bouncing around in my head. There are so many unexplained circumstances that add to the gothic noir feel to the book, unlike SOTW which I think wrapped up too neatly and in a poorly crafted manner. The Angel Game is a book that I will have to come back to and read at a slower pace; then perhaps I will make sense of some the unresolved mysteries in this story.

I really love Carlos Ruiz Zafon's work. This is the second of the series, although it would work as a stand-alone as well. Gothic, propulsive, atmospheric. I LOVE the idea of the Cemetery of Forgotten Books. Highly recommend and added to my list of favorites.

Una Obra Maestra!
