It was a good reading but nothing new or spectacular.
3.5 This was a pretty good book. I liked it a little better than the first in the series. It was a bit longer. I did like Jake and Kallie and felt a connection to them and their connection to each other. Still looking forward to reading more in the series.
I don't need to rehash the plot, so I'll just say another great erotic romance by Ms. Sinclair. She really has a way with words and the mixture of erotica with an actual story works out fantastic. I will say that I preferred Logan (from book 1) to Jake, but that's just personal opinion.
Cherise Sinclair has created an amazing world and is an amazing writer. It's nice to see BDSM portrayed positively.
I did enjoy this book, however, unlike the first book in the series I failed to "fall" for Jake and Kallie. By that, I mean that I didn't fall in love with them, that they somehow didn't connect with me in that special way that makes you to unable put your book down until you finish, cry for the heroine, or smile out loud when they live happily ever after...that wonderful feeling was absent. Which doesn't mean to say I hated the book or didn't enjoy reading this story! It was definitely worth the buy and the time I took to read it.

It was a great book. It wasn't as steamy as the first in the series, but it still had it's hotness. It was a bit reminiscent of The Men of August, but still a good read.
