These poems are rich and empowering. I thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in them. There were moments so arresting my heart stilled while I was reading. The cover art is exquisite too.

Unknown is a much needed and essential homage to women of the past, combining mythology and history. It shines with brilliance, delicately balancing superstition, mystery and fact.
Published by Stairwell Books, Unknown is a celebration in collaboration containing a collection of twenty-seven poems written by Anna Rose James and Elizabeth Chadwick Pywell.
There is much to like, learn and understand from the poems, which effortless entertain and inform. I found myself intrigued and inspired by the poetic form and take on the characters and events.
The whole concept, including the book title, speaks volumes for what we publicly know and accept as our history. I particularly liked the diversity of names coupled with an index of subjects to help research and understand more.
Whether you read purely for exquisite poetry or history, I highly recommend reading to broaden your knowledge and perspective of our shared past. A fantastic and highly appreciated read. Thank you, Anna and Liz.
