Loved this book, was super interesting and insightful as I have never heard much of the Russian Gulags. However, the only downside is that the author did not actually meet Cilka (subject of this book) so it is not 100% true. she does say that it is a mixture of both non-fiction and fiction as it uses as much information from research and those who had known Cilka but I wish it was more accurate

I love it. I love historical fictions. I love this book way more than the first one, might because I focused on every chapters and really understood the story through the words.

It’s the thing with books, they make you feel something familiar even though you haven’t experience it at all.
