Wow wow wow. This is one of the stories that I remember most from reading Goosebumps as a kid, and re-reading as an adult did NOT disappoint! A genuinely disturbing plot, which it managed to fly through quickly without getting repetitive or spinning its wheels as some Goosebumps stories do. Absolutely loved it.

2 stars- I nearly DNFed this one because of how fucking frustrating the tara character was. I’m not sure I’ve ever hated a character so much in my life.

A kid's first existential horror. Has a wonderful plot for a book like this!
Michael's attitude towards his sister reminds me a lot of my relationship with my younger brother when I was a kid. And with that in mind, regardless of how really mean Tara really was, it is sad what happened to her in the end.

Goosebumps. This is the series that kept me reading through my childhood. More than any other series, Goosebumps kept me interested in reading, and R.L. Stein is a wonderful children's writer. I applaud his efforts, and can't express enough my gratitude for the series.
I think this is my favourite Goosebump book. I love the plot. The build up to the ending was brilliant, just the right amount of tension, horror and OhMyGosh!!!. The only slight niggle was Tara - she needed a good slap! I can’t believe how her parents let her act. Mind you, I had a younger sister that wasn’t any better. Love the ending!

Okay justed finished this book. What can I say about this Goosebumps book. Well I can say it was an okay one.
I absolutely hated Tera. She is the biggest brat ever. And I know how Michael feels. Because my little sister was the same way. So I was just reliving my childhood. That is some of the stuff my little sister would do to me.
Dang this book was okay and werid. Just all the different ways that he keep trying to get too the clock. And he was on the bus by myself at 2 years old. Yeah no that wouldn't even happen. Not even in the 90s.
I normally skip that tv episode because it is like okay I understand. I watched it about three times.
