KJ Charles review already said everything I would say. Super book.
lighthearted

there is no fucking way British people speak like this

I wanted to like this book, and I was initially digging the flirtatious and sarcastic back and forth of Luc and Oliver’s relationship. Even so, I found that Luc’s self deprecating humor never seemed to land well. Rather than being funny, he just came off as arrogant and mean to mostly everyone. I was shocked (unpleasantly so) when Oliver left after what felt like a huge moment of connection between the two of them. This soured the rest of the story for me. And for the last quarter of the book, I found the on-again-off-again nature of their relationship tiresome.

.

A beautiful and funny story that makes you believe in love.
I was a little confused why the general public are all complete idiots, but then I went outside and realized how accurate that is.
