This book convinced me that I now love monster office romances. Also, the SPICE was SPICING. It's hot in here.

The matches are my favorite things about these books!
All the different monsters and witches are exciting and interesting, it makes me excited to read the next book.
I am loving the different couple continuing plot with the series that gives you little tidbits of information each time.
Keeps me interested and invested in the story lines and the couples you get to meet.
The spice is done so oober well! It’s not the same scene each time, never boring and always equal.
Definitely see the writing improvement from what this was to the current authors books but I honestly loved the story so much it doesn’t make much of a difference.

Sexy but very pain oriented

Pain just isn’t my thing, but I thought this book had a great portrayal of setting healthy boundaries for kink play. Also, they were such a cute triad!

Spice: 5/5

Triggers: abduction

I don't know why I skipped the first. My brain works funny and I didn't even realised I was reading the second book in a series until they started mentioning people and events I didn't know. But it wasn't a problem, because I could follow perfectly.
As a bisexual enby, this throuple of mates with an they/them character had me LIVING. Thanks to the author for the inclusion of diverse characters and relationship.
As a good monster romance, the instalust/love has a reason: fated mates. Love this trope! Also, how doesn't love a fae demon, a manticore and a Witch coming together? I was glad to see how everyone wanted to help Cinder, they deserved all the love and help they could get.
The smut has dom/sub dynamics and I'm here for all kinky stuff.
The office setting adds a bit of bizarreness and I love it. I want to know who the evil people are and what they are planning.
I'll go back to read the first when I finish the series. I'm weird like that.

One of the MCs is non binary and I thought it was totally unnecessary for the author to have a side character misgender them. Especially when in the previous chapter, the other MC was using the correct pronouns in their inner monologue. I thought it was an out for the author, making it easier for the smut scenes to be understood when it clearly would have anyway.
