The first story arc of Berserk, The Black Swordsman, is covered in full in this volume. While main character Guts is introduced as being far from a "hero" the mystery of his origins kept me intrigued. His dark and brooding nature fits the cruel world Miura has started in this dark fantasy epic.

Si estás buscando una saga de fantasía oscura Berserk es para ti. Algo que me atrevo a destacar es el dibujo este manga tiene unos de los mejores diseños que he visto aparte de esto las ilustraciones están tan bien hechas que puedes ver hacia donde va el golpe. Ahora la historia también está bastante bien pero si tuviera algo negativo que decir es que en el segundo tomo hay un bajón ya por si no sabías esta edición incluye los primeros tres tomos en uno solo. Por lo demás este es el primer manga que ha llegado a mi lista de obras favoritas ya entiendo porque Berserk es tan importante.

It's clear why this story is as monumental as it is - there's an incredible amount of skill, clever plotting, phenomenal art, and real heavy themes at play. It's all very well done. I'm hard-pressed to say this was a fun read, but it was a good one!
