I'm not sure what to think about this. I didn't really enjoy it, though the artstyle is gorgeous even in it's horror.
The plot is basically, death, demon, kill, gore. The last part about young Guts was actually very interesting and I'll continue just to see what happens next.

I really enjoy the way some of the lore was revealed during the second half of this. Truthfully while I was enjoying the first half I was struggling to connect with Guts and to understand the journey being taken but the story is written in a way that makes you want to keep reading and allows the twists to be satisfying.
I can definitely say that as a whole the book works very well, and I am now very interested in continuing this story.
Also it’s very obvious but the artwork is absolutely vicious, repulsive and breathtaking, an incredible visual product.
