Brilliant guide to losing weight with many helpful tips and advice that I would not have thought of. Put in a simple way that doesn’t bog you down with jargon. Nor does it make any false promises. Definitely the best book out there.

Really good book. Starts of explaining why obesity is an issue of our times, and never shames the reader.

Chatterjee's main advice is progress over perfection. He looks at weight loss holistically and gives many ways one could lose weight from sleeping better, to doing dumbells while the kettle is boiling, to eating food with less than five ingredients on the packet. All these are actionable with little effort vs advice that makes you overwhelmed and give up like going to the gym for 1 hour a day from the start.

This is a really solid book, and kind of perfect for people who are trying to get away from diet culture and make a proper lifestyle change. My personal rating is just more to do with the fact that I was already very aware of the methods and advice that Chatterjee puts forward in this book, so most of the book was nothing new to me. However, I would 100% recommend this to anyone who has struggled with their weight and repeatedly falling off the bandwagon. Chatterjee's approach is sensible and always practical, which is something I really like about his books. Also, the physical copy looks just as good as his other books.

This looks really amazing.
I'm really not a fan of diets so I nearly didn't buy this but I'm so glad I did.
This looks holistically at your life, not just at what you eat. It also looks at the environment we live in and how that sets us up to gain weight.
I've made my plan for the next month, I'm not even looking at the scales, I'm just focusing on being my healthiest self and I hope I might lose a few pounds along the way.
I really recommend this if you are interested in long term lifestyle change rather than quick weight loss. What I hope is that it will be permanent.

The book is sort of a collection of articles that can be summarised in various blog posts. It could be a coffee table book. I wouldn't recommend this book for purchase but if you can find it in a charity shop then go for it.

It’s become a kind of tradition these last few years to pre-order & read Dr RC’s latest book to kickstart my year. This one didn’t disappoint, & interestingly brings together lots of other theoretical stuff I’ve read in recent years about food. This is very accessible, do-able & as always beautifully presented.
