This was very popular in my library after I would book talk it, especially among boys.

This was pretty good. A little predictable in places, but I was pretty genuinely caught up in it by the end, and actually felt angry about his choice to enlist like I would with a real person - I could understand exactly why he did it but I still think he shouldn't have.
This was 5 stars until about 30 pages from the end when it got too dramatic and unbelievable. Still, a faced-paced, easy read that I think my students will enjoy.
We read this with our 8th graders and they loved it! This book is excellent for that age. It deals with patriotism, morality, socioeconomic divides, and much more! It's set in Seattle so lots of the kids really enjoyed making those connections to the real places. Highly recommend!
I was kinda worried about reading this book because I knew it had to do with terrorists and I'm not really interested in reading those types of topics. However, after I read the first few pages I knew the book was more about a boy struggling to take care of himself and his father and he would do it anyway he could. It reminded me of some of the students I have that take care of themselves and family members.
I thought this book was actually pretty good. I wish the ending didn't leave things hanging, but I guess I understand why. It was a bit sad as well as suspenseful.
This novel was a very quick read. I liked it, but I think it will appeal to boys more than girls. I will definitely recommend it to reluctant readers. I'm glad I have a copy to keep in my classroom.
Enjoyable mystery about a teen boy who, because he needs money, agrees to deliver mysterious packages to boats on the waterfront of his Seattle home.
i had to read this book for school and it honestly wasn't that bad. i LOVE how short the chapters are and i like the crime aspect. everything just happened so fast which i knew when i requested to read this book. i wish i had more closure on the end.
