I am not sure what to make out of this series. It's not exactly erotica, there is definitely a plot in there. And that plot gets in the way of erotica and all the sexy (and quite long & elaborate) bits and pieces interfere with the story momentum. I just get into one, when the other takes over, and I am like
......lost. Like, totally lost at times.
Oh, one more thing: sweethearts and babies and other overly sugary and sticky endearments got really old really fast.
3.5 stars. Will not continue with the series, unfortunately :(

This book is a prequel to The Other Book. It deals with Tyler's best friends Adam and Christoffer and tells the story of how they got together. It's filthy, and sweet, and sexy. It's a tale where we know how it ends (because we see how gorgeous a couple they are in TOB) and the joy is in the journey. Beautiful, lyrical erotica.

There is magic in Roe Horvat's words. I seriously don't know how he does it but every single book of his has just reached into my soul and captured it.
This one is no different for all Roe labels it erotica and pops it into a different box.
It's still a beautifully written tale of love, of finding the right person who just understands you, who knows what you need and when you need it.
Is it erotic, oh Hell yes it is.
Does it make you puddle in a pool of drool, absolutely yes.
But it's so much more than that.
It's about finding a home, it's about filling up the empty and lost spaces in your heart and it's about moving forward with the knowledge that you can live your life exactly as you want with the right person at your side.
In just a few chapters, Roe gives us the start of the amazing relationship between Adam and Cristoffer that we saw in [b:The Other Book|43380012|The Other Book (Those Other Books #1)|Roe Horvat|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1545995117s/43380012.jpg|67393320] and it is glorious.

Yet another tour de force from the masterful Roe Horvat. I think started highlighting before I hit 2%. The words just fill your mind with pleasure as you read and devour Roe's books. "Some change, a shift in the parallel streams of existence." At 8% "Like a key into a lock, they fit, and Christoffer felt safe letting his instincts take over. He squeezed Adam’s ass muscles in his hands and found a rhythm while their tongues danced." This is book 2 and outlines how Christoffer and Adam, whom we met in book 1, met each other. Their story is quiet yet combustible. There aren't enough words to explain how much I love this author's work. Almost want to cry, the books are so good. I only have one unread Horvat book left so hope he's writing more....

Adam Only is another masterpiece in erotic perfection, and what started out as an exploration in writing erotica, because "I can", has become a series and an automatic one-click for anyone who read the first "Other Book".
Roe Horvat can't write an unlikable character, and this is what I love about his stories more than anything. Even flawed, there's something compelling about each character in all of his books. Adam Only does not disappoint on that front.
We met Adam and Christoffer in the first book, but they were already an established couple. This is the story of how they met, and it is pure delight from beginning to end. I love Adam, and I love Christoffer and hope we see more of them in future installments.
A great deal of erotica is all about sex and nothing else, but this story isn't like that. There's sex and there's a lot of it, and it's hot and steamy, but beyond that there's a story, and heart and two souls finding a safe haven.
The warnings are there for a reason. This is an adult story, with adult content and if you don't like disapproving looks as people read over your shoulder on your daily commute then don't read this in public, anywhere. That said, it is about time adults had something to enjoy that was just for them, and Roe delivers that, big time.

Not a big fan of erotica but I will follow Roe Horvat anywhere he chooses to go. If you like the younger man who believes he is good only for a hookup/older man who believes he is too dull and plain for a relationship with such a fabulous, beautiful boy, then this should be your catnip. Not a word out of place in a brief 100+ pages. Definitely NSFW.
