Won in a bet during a poker game Jade gives Shep a solid slap. Shep has never wanted a girl as much as he wants Jade, he is willing to chase after her. I liked the dynamics between them as they slowly fall in love.
Soooo, it started really nicely, with the bet and the attraction and the rich bad boy preying on your average girl. Then... it simply didn't hold up to the expectations. There was a lot of steamy hotness, I won't lie on that. But in the hand what il liked was proportion.
90% of the books is devoted to their hook ups and dancing around each other. But even when they decided to up the stakes and have a relationship, that last 10% was more hotness and too few seious conversations.
That being said, it was a nice quick read. The characters were fine, but not enough to actually make me like the book. So I'm not going to check the next one in the series. It was a one time thing, I guess

I need more!! Shep & Jade are just...UGH! Fair Game was my 1st Monica Murphy read and I loved it. Everything from the hot smoldering sexual tension ( that led to some very hot orgasm inducing sex) to the humorous banter between Jade & Shep gave me life! I absolutely loved Jade's smart ass mouth & Shep was an ass, but he grew on me the further I got into the book. This is definitely one of my best reads of 2016 & I can't wait to read more from Monica Murphy.
Happy Reading!!
Happy Reading!!
Um I actually really liked this, though I should know better than to ever doubt Maike. I just wanted a semi-realistic romance with a bit of plot thrown in. I will say the romance was A+ and though it was kind of lacking plot wise I super enjoyed it still. I felt Jade was relatable and the relationship realistic cause it did kind of happen gradually. I just really like Jade and Shep together. I'm also interested to read Gabe and Tristan's stories as well.
I don’t think I have read something like this before, I didn’t even thought I still liked this kind of books but I was so wrong. It was such a beautiful book and so hot and it was enjoyable. At first, I wasn’t much into it because Shep Prescott seemed like a total idiot to me and of course he is an asshole there is not denying that but somehow, he can be cute underneath all that filthy talk.
“I don’t know what I like most about you,” he says conversationally as he methodically begins to undo my braid. His fingers sift through my hair, gently tugging and pulling, and it feels so good that my eyelids waver. Unable to help myself, I lean into him. “Your hair, your freckles or that fucking mouth of yours.”
Shep Prescott is incredibly rich and is used to have everything he wants and now he has his eyes on Jade Frost and she cleary knows he has a reputation and won’t come easy. Their chemistry is undeniable but everything between them goes from slow to fast.
“His lips quirk into this adorable little smile. Ugh, he’s just too cute. And sexy. And hot. And huge. “You have feelings for me?”
I recommend it if you are into old clichés, the writing is good so it makes it more enjoyable.

Monica Murphy sucks me in with every book she writes, but when she does NA college romance, she is a master. I LOVED Shep and Jade. Just simply LOVED them!
It was pretty good. There was a lot of inner dialogue in some parts, but not too bad.

I so very much enjoyed this book! I wasn't sure how I would feel about Jade's boyfriend betting her away during a poker game, but it actually really worked for me. This book was fun and flirty, sexy and with very low angst.
I liked both Jade and Shep. She was young, but sassy. She wasn't the type of girl who would allow a guy to walk all over her. As evidenced by the fact that she didn't waste any time showing Joel the door when he was a jackass during the poker game. Shep came off awfully intimidating – and as a bit of a jerk – but he was a good guy under it all. I do love watching a "bad boy" transform.
Things between Jade and Shep definitely started off unconventionally, but they were a great pair when all was said and done. I was a little concerned that it was all about the chase for Shep, but there ended up being a lot more to their relationship. Their banter was brilliant, the sexual tension was oh-so-very high and the romance was sweet.
I really enjoyed Fair Game. It was a quick read that was well-written and with characters I easily connected with. The slow burn of sexual tension was all kinds of hot when it broke loose. I also appreciated the Jade and Shep's character growth. If you're looking for a new fun and sexy read, I can't recommend this one highly enough. I'm definitely taken by this series and am already looking forward to Gabe's story in the next book, In the Dark. It's going to be fun to watch him get "tamed."

3.5-Química en proceso-estrellas
*SPOILER ALERT*
