Jade disliked notorious playboy Shep on sight, so when he suggests her as a prize for a poker game she’s furious - but even more so when her boyfriend agrees to it. Naturally she breaks up with her boyfriend then and there - but Shep is determined to have what he’s owed. Both of them are shocked, though, when real feelings begin to develop between them, and Shep starts to question his womanising ways.
I really enjoyed reading this. The dynamic between them was so fun - she was so snarky and funny and put him in his place and he deserved that so much. He was such an annoying character, especially in the early stages, and I just couldn’t wait to see him become obsessed with her. The chemistry between them was really hot and the sex scenes were really steamy and well-written. I was surprised by how gentle the plot of this actually was; there was some gentle angst and some emotional moments but by and large this was just quite a nice story about two very different people falling in love, and whilst I had some gripes - Shep and his friends sometimes talk about women in a way I didn’t like - overall I quite enjoyed reading it. I would recommend this if you want an opposites attract, hate-to-love romance.
Content Notes:
Other: On-page sex, OM stuffHeroine is in relationship with OM briefly at the start. Heroine’s ex tries to get her back and kisses her in front of the hero. , lots of references to hero’s past sexual history.

This was a cute read. The characters start off hating each, but then they start falling in love. I thought Shephard Prescott was an adorable character and he proved to me that he is boyfriend material. He was a true gentleman. Jade Frost was a little bit different to understand, but then when she fell for Shep, I started to understand her a lot more. I think this is a good book. The most shocking part of this book is when. Overall, an okay read.

Another book about a rich guy and an average girl. They're in college so students would better relate to their story than young adults who are already working. I didn't find it realistic but hey, it's contemporary fiction. The storyline has a feel-good vibe and not much really happened, just typical student life. They did not encounter any heavy difficulties in life, feel-good story.
If you want to read a book that's light, this is a good choice. I enjoyed Shep and Jade's banters. I like the parts when we are brought in Shep's point of view. Jade is somewhat angsty, definitely a book character. While Shep thinks like a real person, someone that could exist in real life.
