i think the book could have been shorter. it lost its way in the middle i feel and the last 80 pages had more development that the middle.

An inviting premise to a cozy mystery but winding up instead to be a tangled introspection of dark childhood traumas and mental health stati. This could very well be the context in which I've read it (going through a few things and wanting to indulge in escapism) but it didn't land for me how I'd hoped

Ich liebe einen guten Krimi in außergewöhnlichem Setting, obwohl die Idee einer Mord-aufklärenden Rentner-Clique natürlich nicht neu ist. Der Plot war bisweilen spannend und lebte vor allem durch die Unterschiedlichkeit der Charaktere - vor allem die Schildkröte hat es mir angetan!
Darüber hinaus ist die Lesung von Anna Thalberg eine absolute Freude und sehr zu empfehlen!
