I was immediately curious when I saw this on a library shelf. A horror book that looks like an ikea catalogue! I was pleasantly surprised. The characters are well written and the combination of humour, horror and satire works. The ending was good too. I didn't find it terribly scary, maybe stranger things level.

I’m really surprised by how ambivalent I ended up being about this book. I thought it was an incredible concept, and I really loved another book by the author. But this one just fell really flat for me. I think telling it in third person made it feel even harder to connect with characters than it typically would be. It wasn’t awful, but it was a slog.
