The most I will rate a book that I won't read again is a three, which is what I gave this one. I liked it but it could have been written a bit better I think. I like the story line and how in the end we find out the real truth. It was very girl-power with the plot points of Louise and George helping women in bad situations and robbing the hotel themselves. I wish that Tanner's story was a bit better, I feel like her getting hurt derailed her even though they tried to make it not that way. I was an athlete and my career of Dance ended early but I made a huge pivot in another direction and came out well still. I feel like they went okay she got hurt, no more school (even though her sister still goes), and now she works in a nursing home until Louise passes. Not my favorite ending for her.

Quick witted, funny, heartfelt and empowering. A little Thelma & Louise, some themes of found family & intergenerational relationships.
