Really fun unlikely-friendship, spontaneous road trip story about an elderly woman with a surprising past and a young girl trying to figure out her future. Funny, clever, super enjoyable characters, a lot of heart.

What a ride (pun intended) this book was to read! The book does a great job of throwing twists and turns throughout. I loved the dynamic of a feisty 84 year old, Louise, and a 21 year old, Tanner, who has always gone by the rules. Louise is disgusted that her children think she needs a live in "nanny" since she broke her hip and to top it off it's a gloomy 21 year old who acts as if the world has ended after her accident that permanently ended her ability to play soccer competitively. Tanner's convinced this will be a predictably boring job ferrying this feisty woman to and from her appointments. That is until Louise comes to her room in the middle of the night demanding she drive her to California. Could the news release Tanner saw earlier depicting a computer aged photograph of someone who looked suspiciously like Louise as a suspected jewelry thief from the 1970s be true? And is she willing to play it risky for once in her life to help her?

Buckle up folks and enjoy this road trip of a couple people who barely know each other and generations apart in age.  This story is full of humor but it's also a story of women helping women even if it means taking some risks.

Light hearted, feel good book. I loved reading the development of Louise and Tanner's relationship as the book progressed.
