The beginning seemed different than his other works kind of slow to be honest, but as I got further and further in the book began to get a twisted atmosphere I have felt many times from his books. I came into it without having any knowledge about the book other than the title and I for sure did not see the ending coming and it was brutal. It gave you hope sometimes and it tore it from you again. Over and over until the end where your heart is slightly shattered from the aftermath. Truly a beautiful yet gruesome book. Loved it

I'm really not sure why people didn't enjoy this. This actually hooked me like The Dead Zone. I went into this blind like I did with The Dead Zone and I'm so glad I did. It was so well written. I loved following Jamie's life and story, his relationships and his hard times. I really was invested in him. I think this is probably one of my favourites and I'm gonna so more than IT...The ending though

I didn't remember much of this one from 14 years ago so it was like reading a new one. I really liked it. The pacing and voice were exactly what I want from King.
